Annual Family Fun Day
Coordinates with Veritas Prep Parent Organization to organize and implement the Annual Family Picnic. Volunteers needed to help with set-up, refreshments, games, and clean-up, as well as requesting in-kind donations. Dads’ Club
Organizes social events for dads a few times per year; and designs and sponsors one high impact fundraising initiative per year for the Parent Organization. Although fundraising is a stated goal of the Club, it is not a prerequisite to membership, there will be no dues, and fundraising activities are not mandatory. Family Directory
Help coordinate the production and distribution of our Archway Veritas Family Directory to include small ad sales to help fund the cost of printing, and do data entry (this can be done at home). The bulk of this activity takes place between August 8th and the release of the directory, with an end goal of October. Fifth Grade Matriculation Committee
Parent of a Fifth Grader? Desire to make an input in the planning of their matriculation? Members of this committee would include fifth grade parents only and will meet at least twice in the Fall to plan for the Fifth grade matriculation party as well as meeting with Administration and the Executive Board to provide input for matriculation event. Hospitality
Coordinate 2 teacher pot-luck luncheons during the December and May grading periods. Coordinate refreshment donations from the families for dessert socials, school recitals, parent teacher conferences, and other community receptions; help oversee the specific reception you plan. Lost and Found
Assist with the upkeep and neatness of our designated Lost and Found area at the school. Help with periodic “Lost and Found Days” for families to reclaim belongings before they are donated to charity or to the Used Uniform committee. Lunch Volunteer
Want to get to know the student body? Help monitor various classes in the dining hall during their lunch periods. Volunteers will assist students with whatever they need, facilitate clean up of the cafeteria, and monitor recess/playground with our Teacher Aides. SCRIP Program
Help coordinate buying SCRIP online and in person –which are gift cards available for purchase for use at restaurant and retail stores, with a percentage being returned to our school. We will need volunteers 45 minutes before or after school on two specified days to be determined, to help distribute purchased SCRIP and take orders in person too. Help coordinate and promote annual AVPO Holiday Giving Program for faculty and staff; and help hang the Snowflakes around the school. This committee functions from mid-October to mid-December.
